FC America U-13 Boys win 4th Tournament of  the Year at the Palm Bay Spring Challenge

May 2, 2005 ...  The FC America 92’ boys captured their 4th Tournament championship of the year, breezing to four straight victories at the 8th Annual Palm Bay Spring Challenge.

The boys got off to a solid start in their first match against the West Pasco Spartans rebounding from deficits of 1 – 0 and 2 – 1 to post a 5 – 3 victory. Game two found the boys in solid form, dominating possession against the Seminole blades in a 2 – 1 victory marred by our failure to convert four wide open opportunities inside the box that would have ended the game early in the second half. Game three produced a solid 5 – 1 win against an overmatched Titusville team, leaving the boys with a 3 – 0 record going into the Final.

The championship match was a repeat of the Brevard Fall Final against the Rockledge Steelers, a very big and physical opponent. We once again played a very solid possession same, opening up a 3 – 0 lead midway thru the second 35 and holding on for a 3 – 1 win.
