Battista returns after successful stint in Denmark.

August 17, 2005... "Something I'll remember for the rest of my life" was how sixteen year old Melissa Battista characterized her stay with Odense Boldklub in Denmark's Elite Division (3F League).  After spending the past 2 weeks training and playing 3 matches, Battista brings home international experience to her U17 Kumba team.  She finished out her stay in a tough match against Brondby, the league defending champions.

Brondby started the game with 7 full internationals that start for the Denmark Women's National team while OB's starting line-up was an average of 18 years old.  Sixteen year-old Battsita started in central midfield and chased Gitte Anderson, Anne Dot Eggers, Catherine Paaske-Sorensen for most of the match before leaving with 5 minutes left.  All three players represented Denmark in the European Championships this past July in England.
