FC America U-14 Boys Three-Peat as Champions at Brevard Fall Challenge

October 10, 2005 ...  The FC America U-14 Boys completed a fantastic three year run at the Brevard Fall Challenge with their third straight championship Sunday with a dominating 6-1 victory in the Final against Seminole 402.

The boys opened with a hard fought 1-1 draw against the Rockledge Steelers, and followed up with solid wins against the Satellite Beach Lightning (4-1) and the Mako S.C. Sharks (3-1) before heading into the late afternoon Final against Seminole.

The Final was put away by halftime, as the boys led 5-1 on two goals by Eli Beates and three by Mitch Hanley, combined with solid midfield play by Alex Bisbee, John Labrador and Pedro D’Avila.  The back line dug in and held Seminole scoreless from the 20th minute forward, anchored by Juan Duarte, Pipe Jara and Erick Hamann, while Mitch added his fourth goal early in the second half to seal the game.  We got excellent contributions from Luke Davis up top, Will Bates, Dylan Scruggs, and Charlie Munoz in the midfield, Billy Voecks and Brandon Carpenter on the back line, and a solid weekend in the net from Josh Jacobson.

A solid weekend performance gave the boys their second straight Championship, following up on their win last month at the CFU Diadora Classic, and three for three this year in advancing out of pool play.  Great Job guys!
