Omni U-16 Red Boys are 2008 Invitational Seminole Memorial Tournament Champions
 

May 26, 2008 ... The FC America Omni-Red U16 boys played outstanding soccer winning the 2008 Invitational Seminole Memorial Tournament. The U-16 boys competitive division had two groups with 4 teams in each. Omni-Red led their group going into the semi-finals and advanced to win the championship finishing the tournament with three consecutive shutouts.

The Omni-Red keeper, Peter Gonzalez, led the team in preventing their opponents from scoring for 240 minutes of play, that's 3 complete matches including the championship game of no goals allowed. A total of 12 goals were scored by 7 different Omni-Red players.

Teams played: CFU, Plant City Lancers, Clay County Rangers, IUS Talons, and HCU-Black.
