Central Florida's Highest Ranked Club June 14, 2004 ... FC America finished the 2003-2004 season with a Club ranking of 12th in the State of Florida, an incredible exclamation point to the Club’s finest season in its history.
In the Gotsoccer.com final State rankings, released June 11, 2004, FC America finished with 1690 points, securing 12th place overall, the highest State ranking of the other ten competing Central Florida Soccer Clubs. Our closest competition came from Seminole Soccer, finishing 13th with 1662 points, and Central Florida United, finishing 19th with 1157. Both these Clubs are easily ten times our size, making this accomplishment even that much more impressive.
Following significantly behind the top three were Orange County Soccer, at 37th with 432 points, Maitland Soccer, at 76th with 125 points, and Inter-United Apopka, 84th with 88 points, Florida Thunder, 92nd with 75 points, East Orange Soccer and Greater Osceola at 114th with 50 points, and Orlando United at 139th, with 25 points.
We also finished with an incredible 7 teams with top ten final State rankings in their age groups. We are led by the U-15 girls, ranked #1 in the State and State Cup runners-up to boot. Also in the final top ten were the U-17 girls, ranked 4th, the U-17 boys, ranked 4th, the U-12 and U-14 girls, both ranked 7th, and the U-12 and U-18 boys, ranked 8th. Our remaining State ranked teams include the U-16 boys at 12th, the U-16 girls at 15th, the U-14 boys at 20th, and the U-15 boys at 24th. Most incredibly, 11 of our 14 teams beginning the 2003-2004 season finished ranked in the top 25 in the State.
We are incredibly proud of all the players and coaches responsible for the success, and know it will continue into 2004-2005, as we look to surpass the standards just set. Great Job FC America!!!!
