FC America's Girls U-16 Accepted to Region 3 Premier League! State Cup Runner-up finish earns the team a place in the league August 12, 2004 ... FC America's girls Under 16’s finished last season as State Cup Runner-up after losing to Team Boca 0 – 2 in the FYSA State Cup Championship game in Panama City. However the results were good enough to get them accepted into the Region 3 Premier League. The league accepts only teams that place in the Final Four of their respective states in the southeast U.S. Finishing in the Final Four is not a guarantee as each team’s performance in league play and tournaments is also considered. After winning the Norcorss and Blackwatch Tournaments as well as advancing to the Semi-Finals of the Spring Classic at Dallas Cup, the girls proved themselves to be one of the best teams in the southeast. The FC America Girls 16’s will play teams from Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina in the league. A top finish in league play can earn the team a pass to next years Region 3 Championship National Qualifier if they don’t win the 2005 state cup. The 16 girls are the first team from FC America accepted into the league.
