FC America U-15 Boys Post Another Strong Showing at Tampa Bay Sun Bowl

January 12, 2007 ... The U-15 Boys recorded another Group Runner-up at the prestigious 2006 Tampa Bay Sun Bowl, going 2-1-1 against some strong competition.  

The boys started the event with a convincing 3-0 win against Cobb FC-Gold out of Atlanta, but were knocked off in their second game by the group winner and eventual tournament finalist, Coconut Creek FC from Miami 1-0 in yet another game in which we played a man down most of the second half.  

Our third match ended in a disappointing 0-0 draw against United 1996 FC out of Louisville, Kentucky in a game that we thoroughly dominated. Saving the best for last, the boys squandered an early 2-1 lead against the East Ridge Express 92’ from Knoxville, Tennessee, but stormed back from a 4-2 deficit with ten minutes remaining to win 5-4 behind three great goals from Michael Millay. Great work FC America 92’.
