FC America U-15 Boys Capture 2007 Memphis Blues City Blowout

March 23, 2007 ... The FC America ’92 Boys collected their third tournament championship of the year while dominating the field in cold and windy Memphis, Tennessee this past weekend.

The boys opened with a crushing 9-1 victory against the Kentucky Rush-Nike behind five goals by Eli Beates, and followed up Saturday evening with an equally impressive performance against Lakeview S.C., out of Louisiana, 2-0 in a game that wasn’t as close as the score would suggest.

Sunday morning started with a 7-0 thrashing of United 1996 Premier, from Louisville, Kentucky, and the Final produced another strong showing, as the boys defeated Elm Grove Academy, from Wisconsin, 3-0 courtesy of two goals from Eli, both created by strong individual runs from Mitch Hanley, and a well taken PK by Erick Hamann, created when Eli was dragged down from behind in the box on a breakaway.
