FC America Kumba Teams Participate in Significant College Showcase Events

March 26, 2006... On February 25th, the FC America U17 girls Kumba team represented the club in fine fashion participating in a 7 vs. 7 College Showcase at Stetson University in Deland.  The girls reached the semi-finals before falling to UCF. Colleges attending and playing were: UCF, Stetson, Rollins, University of Tampa, USF, Flagler, Florida Southern, Embry-Riddle, University of North Florida and Nova Southeastern.

The U17 Kumba team also participated in the UCF College Showcase on March 5th in showcase format.  It was then off to Las Vegas for the U17 girls to play in one of the top college showcase events in the country, the Las Vegas College Showcase. Over the weekend of March 17th, 18th and 19th, the team played 4 showcase games with over 200 colleges attending the event.

On March 25th, the U17 and U18 Kumba girls traveled to FAU to participate in the South Florida College Showcase sponsored by FAU and Team Boca featuring the University of Miami, FAU, USF, Barry, Lynn and Nova Southeastern.
