Perseverance Pays Off!

August 11, 2007 ... Congratulations to Kumba U14 players, Tanya Betancurth, EB Lujan, Alyson and Ashley Vezina and their 3v3 team including Nicole Fischer and Samantha Collin, the Twisters, on winning the National Championship for the Challenge Sports 3v3 soccer tournament at Disney on July 29, 2007.

 There as a supporter was Kumba U14 coach Tino Rodrigues as he witnessed the Twisters win the championship undefeated.  This was the third year the Twisters played this tournament.  When asked what made the difference this year, Twisters head coach, Leonardo Betancurth said, "Maturity on the field and the burning desire to win the championship so bad!"
