This is a special notice about tryouts and other items of
interest.

Hi, my name is Anik Huffman and I'm the coach of the U-14 girls'
Kumba team. My sister, Ashley, is currently in Uganda and has
started an orphanage for displaced Ugandan children. I am going
over to help her serve this population this summer. One of the
major requests she asked me for was soccer equipment to bring to
the orphans. Each day, they play soccer in the dirt with
homemade equipment. Imagine the enjoyment that will result from
getting rid of the soccer gear sitting in your garage.
I realized the unique opportunity I have in being connected with
the FC America Soccer Academy. Any extra soccer equipment you
have laying around, whether it be cleats, shin guards, soccer
balls, pumps, cones, or old pennies will travel with me to
Uganda this summer.
New or used equipment is appreciated. The Kumba U-14 girls
currently practice on Monday from 6:00-7:30 and Thursday from
6:30-8:00. I am at Trotters Park at those times. My email

convenient and anyone has any items they are willing to donate.

Congratulations to all teams that participated in State Cup
and Region Cup.
In Region Cup, two of our teams advanced to the finals in
Region B, the u11 Kumba girls coached by George Sasvari and
the u14 Omni Red boys coached by Danny Gay.
In State Cup, six (6) of our teams advanced pass the first
round and four (4) teams went to the Sweet Sixteen. Three (3)
of the four (4) teams advanced to the Round of Eight and one
(1) of the teams advanced to the Final Four, May19th.
Congratulations and good luck to the U18 Kumba girls coached
by George Sasvari in the Final Four.
Congratulations to the u18 and u14 Omni boys coached by Scott
Betsinger in reaching the Round of Eight (8) and the u16 Kumba
girls coached by Gus Aponte for reaching the Sweet Sixteen.
